There are many different brands of almond milk on the market, however, many of them have added sugar and contain only about 2% almonds, with other ingredients (like rice) added, changing the nutritional content of the food. So why not make it yourself? It’s so easy and simple to do.
Almonds provide you with a variety of vitamins and minerals which include manganese and vitamin E. They also provide you with a good source of monounsaturated fats, which are great for heart health.
If you want to eat to improve your health then this is definitely one to include in your diet.
What you need:
300g raw almonds
about 1 litre of mineral /spring water
and a nut bag or muslin to strain it though
What you do:
All you need to do is blend the water with the almonds and strain it through the nut bag. It’s that simple.
Once made, it will keep in the fridge for up to 3 days. That’s if it lasts that long.
