Meet the Chef’s
This truly is a luxury retreat and not only do we have our own driver but we also have two fantastic chefs:
Kate De Pfyffer – Chef
Kate was brought up on a beautiful farm in Matabeleland/Zimbabwe that had 1200 head of Brahman cross Limousin beef cattle, a small dairy herd, maize, soya beans and sunflowers for the commercial market and a vast vege garden with all kinds of fruit and vegetables. She was brought up eating meat, chicken or fish and five servings of fresh veg at every meal – an upbringing that has instilled in her a love of homegrown and variety of produce. As a result she is very careful about choosing ingredients and supports the local weekly markets, buy from neighbours in the countryside in Tarifa where she lives and take a regular organic veg delivery every week and sources her beef, fish and chicken is also from local producers.
Tracy Church-Rodriquez – Chef
Tracy is originally from the UK and has been cooking around the world for 20 years. Her passion for cooking is related to the Ayurvedic tradition of Indi, where she lived and studied for 8 years. Now she incorporates health factors from this into her cooking techniques and strives to encourage people into a healthier lifestyle.
